For those who are new, Vivid Picks is a simple fantasy sports game where you pick multiple players to go over or under their assigned line.
Even if you already bet or play other DFS-style pick-em games, Vivid Picks offers a few unique selling points:
- Using our code (BetspertsGolf) gets you a first deposit bonus of up to $250 and a $25 secured play. If you lose your first pick, up to $25, you get $25 in promo funds to play again with. That’s by far the best new user deal in the industry!
- For every pick you get right, you automatically get 10% of your stake back in free plays. So if you bet $100 on a 5-leg play and only win four of them, you still get $40 back in promo funds, which can be used on your next play.
- Users can boost each other’s plays up to 0.5X if they all tail each other. Each person tailing your play boosts it 0.1x up to 0.5x total. Follow me, “Noonan” on Vivid, to take advantage!
If you haven’t signed up, you can do so here with our exclusive code “BetspertsGolf.” If you’re a new Vivid Picks user and take advantage of our promotion, you can get full access to Betsperts Golf, including the Rabbit Hole, for just $5! More details here.
Each week, I’ll be posting this free article with a few of my favorite plays for each tournament, some reasons why, and what I would play each leg to. Also, join our Vivid PicksĀ Discord.
Waste Management Open Vivid Plays
Akshay Bhatia – Over 3.5 Birdies or Better
It’s shocking to see the 22-year-old southpaw ranks fifth in this week’s field in SG: P in 2024. After losing 0.58 strokes per round putting last season, Bhatia is gaining 1.02 strokes per round through four events this season. It’s a small sample and unsustainable, but the rest of his game is strong and ascending, so if he’s no longer a liability on the greens, he’s going to contend more. His distance advantage will help him on the Par-5s this week, but this Par-71 layout offers an extra Par-4, and Bhatia ranks 12th in the field in Par-4 average over the past 36 rounds and ranks 4th in overall birdie or better rate.

Adam Hadwin – Over 3.5 Birdies or Better
Despite his below-average distance off the tee, Adam Hadwin has been a cut-making machine at TPC Scottsdale. Hadwin’s T10 finish here last season was his eighth straight made cut at this event and third T20 finish at this event, dating back to 2016. Hadwin has gained strokes on approach in three straight starts, so he’s rounding into form, and although it’s a small sample size, Hadwin ranks fifth in this field in birdie or better rate in 2024.
Adam Scott – – Over 3.5 Birdies or Better
This hasn’t been a traditional stop on Adam Scott’s schedule, with 2022’s T38 being his only appearance. Scott’s underappreciated at this point in his career, but he’s still playing tremendous golf of late. Scott entered last week’s event at Pebble Beach (T20) on the back of four straight T7 or better finishes during the swing season, and the ball-striking clinic continued last week. Over the past 50 rounds, Scott ranks 10th in this week’s field in SG: P and seventh in birdie or better rate. If you want to get more granular, use the Rabbit Hole and look at first-round specific data. Over the past 12 months, Scott ranks third in this week’s field in SG: P and first in birdie or better rate in Round 1.
