Ron Klos

Cam Smith Top 30 +100

Similar to Spieth, Smith has the magic beans on and around these greens to scramble for par, avoid three putts, and sink unexpected 30-foot putts. He is deadly with a wedge in his hands and has been one of the best short-range approach players on Tour. After changing to a different driver, his OTT game was much improved last week. And with fairways so wide, any poor drives off the tee will mostly be mitigated this week. He excels in windy conditions and can string birdies together in bunches. This is a great opportunity for Smith to win his first major.

Ryan Noonan

Tony Finau Top 20 +175

Finau’s game profiles incredibly well at St. Andrews, and he bagged back-to-back T10’s at this course during the Dunhill Links events in 2018 and 2019. He’s a statistical wet dream this week. His ball-striking numbers have been terrific this season and red-hot of late, ranking 6th in this field over the past 24 rounds. He’s exceptional at Par-4 scoring historically and avoiding the 3-putts as well, ranking seventh in this field over the past 36 rounds in both metrics. He’s also sneakily adept around the greens, which lines up with his Open Championship success. If his putter gets hot as it did in Canada, Finau will be in the mix on Sunday.

Adam Scott Top 40 +150

Note: it would be no fun at this point to write up Tiger Woods +100 (bet 365 boost to make the cut) So I give you Adam Scott T40 +150. Long before the existence of LIV was discussed a man had the courage to say the golf season is so stupid, it’s so long, only 8-10 events matter and the rest of em you could do whatever you want with. That man was Adam Scott, who very quietly finishes 14th at last months US Open and will certainly be prepared to take on the old course, I expect Scott to be one of a handful of veteran players to have very promising week at St.Andrews.

Andy Molitor

Emiliano Grillo Top 40 +280

Really tough to gauge exactly how this course will play this week but, I can’t run any numbers without seeing Grillo moving his way up to the top of the page with his OTT prowess. Coming off a great week at the John Deere, I think he’s a guy who will find the weekend and possibly even flirt with the first page of the leaderboard at times. He has played well in the Open before with a top 20 finish last summer at Royal St. George’s. Will need to limit his 3 putts on these big greens, but I think a top 40 price is nice and safe for a guy I project closer to 30th for his median finishing position.
