There is no ShotLink data for the North Course this week so there will be no Strokes Gained charts for betting or Showdown until after the conclusion of Round 3. Round 2 does not start until 12:00 am ET.
Round 1 Scoring

With winds gusting over 30 mph for players on both courses tomorrow, scoring will be at a premium. While the North Course played 2.5 shots easier on Thursday, players will be lucky to shoot more than a couple of shots under par there on Friday. As for the South Course, winds were almost calm on Thursday, and yet it still played over par. Friday will be an exercise in survival. It will be very interesting to see how conditions affect the cut-line. Like on Wednesday, if playing Showdown tomorrow, you want to load up on North Course golfers.
f684b2f3d4218ee06dad551b3bb2074bThe good news is that if you still want to bet Jon Rahm, his odds have dropped to +2000 as he sits nine shots off the lead. If looking to add to your outright card, I would definitely target someone who plays on the North Course tomorrow. Keep in mind that Vegas factors in that advantage to those players’ odds. That is why the likes of Taylor Montgomery, Justin Thomas, and Sungjae Im, all on the North Course tomorrow, are the three current favorites. Unless you want to pay for someone like Tony Finau at +4500, who is also nine shots back, I would advise not adding any outrights and being more conservative. Torrey Pines is not the type of golf venue where players can score easily and makeup ground on the leaders.
