The final tune-up for the FedEx Cup Playoffs is in the books with the conclusion of this weekend’s Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC. Joohyung Kim took home a fairly drama-free win at -20, five shots ahead of the next golfers. It was a very limited field this week in Greensboro as several of the top names took the Wyndham off to prepare and rest up for the Playoffs this week at TPC Southwind outside of Memphis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Betsperts Golf crew gave out another winner for the tournament, with Aaron Rai taking down Harris English at -105 for the event. Harris English really never had much of a chance in this one. After a solid 69 on Thursday, he fired a Friday 74 that got him cut from the event. After his Ryder Cup appearance last fall, English hasn’t been able to build on that momentum this season, thanks to injury troubles. Aaron Rai didn’t do much other than making the cut, but that’s all he needed to do to cash this -105 winner for the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This weekend’s winner was Joohyung Kim who ran away with a 5-shot win over John Huh as well as one of the tournament favorites in Sungjae Im. Kim entered the tournament just outside the top 10 shortest outright odds with a +3300 number. Kim shot under 70 in all four rounds this weekend highlighted by a Sunday 61 to pull away from the field. The Front 9 yesterday was dominant for Kim firing an 8-under 27 which made the Back 9 smooth sailing. In addition to his +3300 outright odds, Kim cashed Top 5 odds at +600, Top 10 odds at +370, and Top 20 odds of +230.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
