2026 Cadillac Championship Picks<\/h3>\n
Collin Morikawa<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> \u2014 I was already on Morikawa before Keith dropped the nugget he was watching Collin go full SMASH on the range at Doral this week. He doesn\u2019t even need plus distance as long as the rest of his game keeps trending this way. He\u2019s one of the best iron players on earth from about every distance, this we know, but right now Morikawa rolls into Miami having gained around the greens in six straight, and on the greens in three of four. If he\u2019s finally fully over this back issue. Let\u2019s catch a number without some of the more well-rounded bombers in the field.<\/p>\n
Hideki Matsuyama<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> \u2014 Hideki\u2019s number has drifted enough where gambling on his driver being any good is worth it. His approach play remains elite, he\u2019s still one of the best in the world around the greens (especially off tight surfaces), and his putter has been remarkably good in 2026. As a bonus, he\u2019s third in the field in approach inside 15-feet from 200+ yards, an approach bucket which is over indexed this week. Just pray he stays dry off the tee.<\/p>\n
HIDEKI TO WIN BOOSTED TO +4000 AT COOLBET RIGHT NOW!!!!!!<\/a><\/h4>\n
Justin Rose<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> \u2014 NEW IRONS BE DAMNED!!!!!! Sure, a club change to a car manufacture company doesn\u2019t seem optimal but it resulted in the number sliding as the week went along. Yes, Rose is a former Doral winner (3000 years ago), but his happy place has continued being the long, difficult tracks on TOUR over the next three millennia. The irons are popping, the lag putting on large greens is always some of the best in the world, and his slightly underwhelming distance can be made up with his stellar long iron play.<\/p>\n
JJ Spaun<\/em><\/strong> \u2014 Frankly, there\u2019s very little difference between his form now than when he won a month ago. It\u2019s all about flipping his putter. He was able to do it in San Antonio and has been unable since. Still, he\u2019s first in the field in approach over the past two months, and sits top 20 in driving. These are the type of longshots you want to take. If he doesn\u2019t putt, he\u2019ll be near the bottom of the leaderboard, which is the same outcome as a T3.<\/p>\n
Sam Stevens<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> \u2014 The chipping and putting aren\u2019t up to snuff, but the irons are getting better and the driver is actually pretty elite, even in a field of elite players. When scanning down the board it was Stevens, Conners, and Sudar McGavin. And since non-Nick Taylor<\/a><\/span> Canadians don\u2019t seem to win, I went with the guy whose best skill is perfect for this course.<\/p>\n
Max Homa<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> \u2014 He\u2019s won at Torrey Pines, Quail Hollow, and Riviera while continuing to excel at Augusta despite being no where near the peak of his powers. Worth a dart.<\/p>\n
Of Note: My final choice came down to Rose vs Gotterup. I loved the early Gotterup numbers but by the time my books opened it had been smashed down to the point where I didn\u2019t love it anymore. So, I threw it to Keith to make the decision for me. And now Rosey is on the card. So Gotterup is likely a lock to win now. <\/em><\/p>\n
2026 Cadillac Championship Weather<\/h3>\n
The first two rounds, especially Thursday, look rather benign. But gusts start hitting Saturday, then who knows come Sunday. Right now, showers appear to hit the area as the leaders tee off in the final round. That\u2019s moved up from Monday in earlier forecasts this week.<\/p>\n
Oh, Keith noted to add a 3-10 mph to the forecast in the afternoons at Doral. It\u2019s just how it always goes.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a contest where people submit tryout videos, it gets cut down into a smaller field, and the winner will get a job on Pete\u2019s channel hosting Football Content this year. Narrowing down the field is a tough gig, so he brought me on as the guest judge for Episode One<\/a>. Despite my voice not being at 100%, I was able to rip into a bunch of people and their terrible submissions.<\/p>\n

Fairly straightforward week with enough (but not too many) people pushing the chips in the middle on Scheffler, while about the same amount will be doing it for Cameron Young<\/a><\/span>. Beyond them, I\u2019d expect Gotterup, then Knapp, then Morikawa to be the most popular of the 9K range. The Knapp injury concerns could have him being overprojected, which likely means more ownership for Gotterup, who is $200 cheaper.<\/p>\n
Expect Kurt Kitayama<\/a>, Nicolai Hojgaard<\/a>, Min Woo Lee<\/a>, Adam Scott<\/a>, and Gary Woodland<\/a> to be higher than their peers in those respective ranges.<\/p>\n
From the 6Ks, projections differ wildly across the industry. Some say Nico Echavarria<\/a><\/span> other have Jordan Smith, but I\u2019d bet Aldrich Potgieter<\/a><\/span> will be a target for many, especially in Scheffler lineups.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, Tambo and I discussed this exact thing on the show Tuesday morning<\/a>: If you\u2019re playing Scheffler, how can you make a different style of lineup? And if you wanted to use Scheffler and Potgieter, how can you make that different as well?<\/p>\n
If you can stomach this loss of perceived win equity from the top, starting lineups with the Hideki range can lead to some very solid-looking balanced lineups.<\/p>\n
