I\u2019ll have a show Friday and Next week with best bets and the like, along with a BRAND NEW CUST CORNER!!!!!!!<\/p>\n Jordan Spieth<\/a><\/span> \u2014 It\u2019s been almost four years to the day since his last win, which came here in 2022. But it\u2019s been almost as long since he\u2019s played this well for such an extended period of time. While the results haven\u2019t materialized at the very top end, over the past two months, Spieth\u2019s ball striking is near the top on TOUR, while his chipping is crawling back to Magic Beans level. This sort of T2G run hasn\u2019t been seen from Spieth since 2023, when it culminated with a T2 at Harbour Town.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re in Canada (Outside Ontario), Coolbet has the exclusive PME Boost on Spieth up to +4000. A number that lurked early in the week and is long gone now.<\/p>\n Min Woo Lee<\/a><\/span> \u2014 Normally, I\u2019d hate Harbour Town for Min Woo. Simple changes in his game in 2026 have me thinking otherwise. The addition of his mini driver has afforded him increased accuracy and the ability to shape the shot better off the tee, while still using his distance to his advantage. Plus, he\u2019s simply been better with his irons all year, even after his disaster at Augusta. If he can continue those two things and pair it with his all-world chipping and putting, the Heritage is a perfect course to use his touch or power when the shot demands it.<\/p>\n Sepp Straka<\/a><\/span> \u2014 I was almost out. BUT SEPP PULLED ME BACK IN!!!!!! The worst thing I did was look at last year\u2019s leaderboard from the Cricket Club. No clue if it\u2019s an actual translation or not, but it was a mimic leaderboard to the RBC Heritage. Probably just a one-off, but I\u2019ll burn some money finding out. Straka\u2019s posted one finish worse than T13 in three of the past years here, too. So there\u2019s that.<\/p>\n Chris Gotterup<\/a><\/span> \u2014 Sometimes it\u2019s all about the number. Is Harbour Town a perfect fit? Probably not. But my eyes light up when I see a guy with four wins in the past 11 months, 30 points behind the likes of Mav McNealy and almost triple the price of Patrick Cantlay<\/a><\/span>. I understand why those guys are priced where they\u2019re at\u2014it\u2019s not for me\u2014I just don\u2019t get why Gotterup isn\u2019t being treated like Ludvig. Well, I do. It\u2019s all handsome privilege and a lack of a golf game. Either way, Gotterup\u2019s irons are usually the thing that holds him back, yet at a course where so few GIRs are hit, an amazing short game can cover up a lot of that.<\/p>\n Brian Harman<\/a><\/span> \u2014 Harman was +10 after four holes during the second round at The Masters. He then reeled off four birdies in a row and snuck himself into the weekend, where he ended up finishing even par. He did it with the old Harman formula of iron + chipping + putting, a strategy which will work better at Heritage since it\u2019s a difficult course for the bombers to overpower.<\/p>\n Austin Smotherman<\/a><\/span> \u2014 The magic is likely gone, but it\u2019s hard to ignore a top-five approach player in the field at these odds at a course that rewards aggressive iron play.<\/p>\n Nick Taylor<\/a><\/span> \u2014 Enters with above-average irons and elite chipping numbers. The number is simply too big for someone who can pop off at any time.<\/p>\n There will be a constant, mild wind all week. Nothing out of the ordinary at a coastal course like Harbour Town. But I\u2019m not seeing anything in the forecast that has gusts exceeding 20 mph during the week. Obviously, that can change, but I’m not worried about it whatsoever right now.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve always run with the strategy of fading the very top-end players at this event, as the yardage and skill set make for a more democratic set of champions relative to most bomb-and-gouge tracks. I also enjoy fading anyone who was truly in the mix at Augusta.<\/p>\n Some years this has been very fruitful to my bank account, and in 2024, it took every cent I had when Scottie won after winning The Masters.
