Many of the “landing areas” are decent-sized, but most are also surrounded by very large bunkers. The greens are all well protected by sand and crossing some water will be necessary 8-10 times per round. Many of the greens are large, but again, can push your ball into collection areas if golfers don’t find the right area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n No driveable par 4s here, and the shortest par 5 measures 563 yards, this will be a course where distance is helpful. Measuring 7400 yards for a par 71, it mirrors the PGA tour stop in Texas in that regard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The greens are Bermudagrass and the fairways appear around average as far as width. The issues will be around the sand and being in a good position for the second shot on some of the doglegs. The bunkering is heavy and appears to be the main defense outside of the water danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The toughest hole will likely be the Par 4 3rd hole. A tough dog leg and extensive bunkering around the green complex make this a very tough GIR% hole. Some strategically placed trees can add to the headaches if you’re out of position off the tee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, key stats:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Additional Note: <\/strong>this was the site of the Singapore Open for many, many years. So, golfers who spent time on the DP World Tour or other Pacific Tours have some experience here. Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter have won here in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Heading into the seventh event of the LIV Golf season, which also serves as the last tune-up before the PGA Championship, the competition is intense.
