Also, join our Vivid Picks&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/discord.gg\/DwwNB7rpgg\" target=\"_blank\">Discord<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The RBC Heritage Vivid Picks Plays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sungjae Im &#8211; Under 4.5 Birdies or Better<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s clear that Sungjae Im is trying to find it right now. He&#8217;s been a model of consistency since coming up, but he&#8217;s struggling mightily right now. He missed the cut at the Masters, his second consecutive missed cut and third in his past five starts. He&#8217;s down year over year in every major statistical category, including every strokes gained metric, driving distance, and accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think taking the over on his total strokes line is also viable, but there aren&#8217;t a ton of cheap birdies at Harbour Town, and, notably, the first round has had the lowest scoring average in three of the past four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rory McIlroy Over 67.5 Total Strokes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rory needs to shoot a -4 (67) to beat us here. He&#8217;s only played at Harbour Town once in the past 15 years, back in 2020 when they played this in June coming out of the Covid break, and he finished T41. The key proximity range for approach shots this week is the 175-200 range, which will likely account for roughly 30% of all second shots into these small greens. Over the past 50 rounds, McIlroy ranks 60th out of 68 golfers in approach proximity from that range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the post-Masters Round 1 hangover, that&#8217;s enough for me to want to fade McIlroy a bit here. Again, he can have a nice opening round and shoot a 68 or 69 and still not beat us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jason Day Over 68.5 Total Strokes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to Rory McIlroy, the RBC Heritage hasn&#8217;t been an annual Tour stop on Jason Day&#8217;s schedule, and his current form leaves a lot to be desired. His short game saved his week at Augusta, where he finished T30 and made headlines for his attire rather than his play. It was the first time that Day had gained strokes on approach (+0.07) since Riviera in February.
