It was a nice opening round for the daily matchups, with three wins, just one loss and a couple of pushes. As usual a lot of the same matchups are available for the second round near the same price, so what am I gonna do here, not bet them?
Full Tourney matchups are pacing okay as of now, would have liked to see more out of Hubbard, but I’m leading in two of the three:
Mark Hubbard > Sahith Theegala +125 – Down 1
Patrick Rodgers -1.5 > Peter Uihlein +105 – Up 1
Tyler Duncan -1.5 > Kurt Kitayama -108 – Up 4
(full tournament wagers placed on Wednesday)
At first glance, the top 20 wagers are looking horrid, and I was thinking that I may have to re-evaluate how I judge a players variance in a field like this, but with the scoring bunched up like it is, sitting tied for 80th is actually only four shots back from being tied for 15th, so a nice Friday from one or more of the guys can get those bets right back into the thick of things.
For today, like I mentioned, going back to the well on a few repeats and one three ball that I couldn’t resist the price on.
Aaron Rai > Hank Lebioda -135
Hayden Buckley > Jonathan Byrd -129
Kramer Hickok > Peter Uihlein -119
Chad Ramey > Curtis Thompson -114
Doc Redman > Trey Mullinax & Adam Schenk +165
