When Aaron Rai was 2-over through four holes I jumped on +17500 to win. He only made it back to even par, so that one is not looking great as he will struggle to make the cut. But I also added the talented rookie Ben Griffin at +10000 who jumped off to a 2-under start through two holes and finished at 6-under, three shots off the lead.
With windy conditions expected the entire round tomorrow, there are no advantages in adding anyone based on the weather. Not having strokes gained data to rely on for this event makes it even more difficult to trust the raw scoring. Amazingly, there are 53 players 5-under or better. Nevertheless, there are numerous “established” players with amazing value in the 5-under range. My favorites would include Russell Knox (+5000), Erik van Rooyen (+7000), Lucas Glover (+10000), and Tyler Duncan (+11000).
