Weather Forecast – North Berwick, Scotland

Cameron Tringale leads for the second straight day after a Friday of golf that saw much less of a wave differential with winds fairly steady for most of the day. But with Woodland, Xander and U.S. Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick only a few shots back it’s going to take a mighty effort to hold on to that solo lead for 36 more holes.
Betting Picks
Max Homa > Ryan Fox -106
Not excited about losing more money to Ryan Fox, but I still don’t have his metrics in a plac that merits him being a favorite to someone who’s won a decent tourney stateside recently and is still showing enough form to back. To boot, Max hasn’t even putted well yet, losing about a full stroke per round to the field so far on the greens. If we see him bring that back to an acceptable level, he should be competing for a top 20 spot on Sunday.
Alex Smalley > Thomas Detry -112
Smalley is another guy who is losing way too many strokes putting so far this tournament, which to be fair is not his strong suit. I don’t expect him to suddenly start gaining with his flat stick, but I do think the scoring opportunities will come. Despite missing some fairways, he’s found 30/36 greens in regulation so far this week and only registered seven birdies or better. I guess I’m just doomed to keep pounding my head against the wall betting against Euro golfers, but I’m a Smalley ride or die and I still think he will move up the leaderboard this weekend.
