John Deere Classic Underdog Plays – Round 1
With slightly wider than average fairways and a handful of doglegs that force less-than-driver off the tee, TPC Deere Run has a fairway hit rate about 6% higher than the average Tour event. With that said, the fine folks at Underdog Fantasy are aware of this and have adjusted for it across the board. Still, some of the field’s more accurate drivers should still flourish, while other less accurate drivers are getting their line driven up based on the overall baseline expectation.
I used the Rabbit Hole to create a driving accuracy model, accounting for short and long-term driving accuracy results along with how each golfer has fared when playing on courses with a high rough penalty.

Balancing out our slip with both HIGHER and LOWER options helps because we get taxed on correlation if we just use one side of one stat. Feel free to mix and match.
