For those who are new, Vivid Picks is a simple fantasy sports game where you pick multiple players to go over or under their assigned line.
Even if you already bet or play other DFS-style pick-em games, Vivid Picks offers a few unique selling points:
- Using our code (BetspertsGolf) gets you a first deposit bonus of up to $250 and a $25 secured play. If you lose your first pick, up to $25, you get $25 in promo funds to play again with. That’s by far the best new user deal in the industry!
- For every pick you get right, you automatically get 10% of your stake back in free plays. So if you bet $100 on a 5-leg play and only win four of them, you still get $40 back in promo funds, which can be used on your next play.
- Users can boost each other’s plays up to 0.5X if they all tail each other. Each person tailing your play boosts it 0.1x up to 0.5x total. Follow me, “Noonan” on Vivid, to take advantage!
If you haven’t signed up, you can do so here with our exclusive code “BetspertsGolf.” If you’re a new Vivid Picks user and take advantage of our promotion, you can get full access to Betsperts Golf, including the Rabbit Hole, for just $5! More details here.

Each week, I’ll be posting this free article with a few of my favorite plays for each tournament, some reasons why, and what I would play each leg to. Also, join our Vivid Picks Discord.
Valero Texas Open Vivid Plays
Round 1 Over/Under
Byeong Hun An – Over 4.5 Birdies or Better
Over the past six months, Benny An has led this week’s field in Birdie or Better (BoB%) rate. You can make the case for him as the best golfer in this week’s field who isn’t already qualified for next week’s Masters, so he’s obviously looking to change that with a win this week. He finished T6 here last year and the afternoon tee times works in his favor as well. An ranks 10th in this week’s field in PM scoring average. Look for him to get off to a hot start this week.
Akshay Bhatia – Over 4.5 Birdies or Better
Last week’s ball-striking clinic at the Houston Open was nearly good enough to take home the crown, and at one point, Bhatia had the outright lead to himself during Sunday’s final round. With all four rounds in the 60s, Bhatia was second in last week’s field in SG: APP while hitting fairways at the highest rate (71.2%).
The 22-year-old southpaw ranks 15th in this week’s field in Birdie or Better rate and 10th in BoB% from the rough, which is important since the fairway hit rate here last year was nearly 10% lower than the Tour’s average.
Rickie Fowler – Under 4.5 Birdies or Better
Every aspect of Rickie Fowler’s game is down from his 2022 season. Not 2023, where he finished inside the top 20 in 17 of 27 starts, but 2022, where he finished inside the top 20 just once in 22 starts.
Out of eight starts in 2024, Fowler’s best finish is a T35 at Riviera back in February. The only strokes-gained metric where he’s better than the Tour average is around the green, and it’s by the skin of his teeth at +0.06, which is 0.22 strokes worse than his 2023 rates. He ranks 109th in this week’s field in BoB%.
